Leading McKay’s Rotorua Branch, Ariki Davis oversees the delivery of complex industrial and infrastructure electrical work across the region, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Working closely with the Bay of Plenty Regional Manager, Ross Rowe, and the wider regional team, he supports strong client relationships, effective project delivery, and consistent operational performance across geothermal, industrial, and commercial sectors while fostering a hands-on, safety-focused team culture.

Ariki Davis is McKay’s Rotorua Branch Manager, bringing extensive hands-on experience in industrial and commercial electrical projects throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. A registered electrician and experienced supervisor, Ariki has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical work in complex, high-risk environments, with particular expertise in industrial infrastructure, switchgear, high-voltage systems, and geothermal generation projects.

Since joining McKay in 2019 as an Electrical Supervisor, Ariki has progressed into branch leadership through his strong technical capability, commitment to safety, and ability to lead teams effectively in demanding operational environments. In 2023, he stepped into the role of Rotorua Branch Manager and now leads regional operations, supporting project delivery, team performance, and client relationships across a diverse range of industrial and infrastructure work.

Ariki’s career has included involvement in major energy and industrial projects across the North Island, including geothermal power station developments, generator refurbishments, sawmill upgrades, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. This experience has provided him with broad expertise across electrical installation, commissioning, maintenance, instrumentation, PLC systems, power distribution, and fault finding.

At McKay, Ariki is responsible for overseeing branch operations and ensuring that projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the high standards for which McKay is known. He places a strong emphasis on health and safety, quality control, and team leadership, with work completed to specification while he fosters a positive and accountable team culture.

Ariki works closely with the Bay of Plenty Regional Manager, Ross Rowe, and the wider regional leadership team to align operations across the region, strengthen client relationships, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across industrial and infrastructure projects.

Known for his practical, hands-on leadership style, Ariki works closely with his teams to solve challenges and maintain strong delivery performance. He combines technical expertise with clear communication and a calm, solutions-focused approach, enabling him to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Respected for his reliability, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement, Ariki continues to play an important role in strengthening McKay’s presence and capability across Rotorua and the wider Bay of Plenty region.
